2min2speak Brand Guidelines

Version 1.0 · 16/10/2026 · applies to 2min2speak.com, the blog and every other channel

These guidelines describe how 2min2speak presents itself: its name, its logo, its colours, its typography and the way it speaks. They are the reference for anyone creating a page, a visual, an email or a post for the brand.

The brand

Written name

2min2speak

One word, all lowercase, with the middle “2” in red. Never “2Min2Speak”, “2 min 2 speak” or “2m2s”.

Spoken name

Two Minutes To Speak

This is how the brand is pronounced in a video or an audio recording.

Tagline

3 buổi mỗi tuần · 15 phút – Tự tin nói tiếng Anh 2 phút – Vươn xa cả đời.

Audience and promise

Vietnamese adults at IELTS level 4.5 to 5.5 who understand English but don't dare to speak it. The promise is a skill: speaking alone, without stopping, for 2 minutes. Never a score.

The logo

Colours

Each colour has one role only. A colour used for two roles always ends up betraying one of them, especially in the dark theme.

Navy#14213dMain text, dark blocks, logo background
Yellow#ffc43dSolid buttons, accents, highlights
Red#e63946The brand's “2”, labels, keywords
Cream#fff8ecPage background in the light theme
Beige#f1e6cfBorders and subtle backgrounds
Grey#5b6478Secondary text, captions, dates
Gold#d4a017Founder certificate frame and Gold badge
Green#1f9d55“Done” tick only

Dark theme

The blog opens in the dark theme. Background #0f1729, panels #17203a, text #f2ebdd, secondary text #a7b0c3, lightened red #ff6b73. Yellow does not change, and text on yellow always stays navy, in both themes. Dark blocks stay dark: they never invert.

Typography

One typeface

Inter

It renders Vietnamese diacritics perfectly. Weights used: 400 for body text, 600 for labels, 700 and 800 for headings.

Headings

Nói một mình, 2 phút.

Very bold, tight line height (1.02 to 1.1) and negative letter spacing (−0.02 to −0.045 em): this is what gives the compact, assertive look.

Visual grammar

2min2speak follows an editorial grammar, not an app grammar. Four devices, and no more:

Label

Nghe thử

Spaced small capitals (0.16 em) to label a section.

Accent

Bắt đầu từ 2 phút.

Coloured italics for the keyword of a heading.

Index

01 · 02 · 03

Two-digit numbers to set the order.

Rule

A one-pixel line to separate. Never a drop shadow.

Buttons

One solid button per screen: yellow, navy text, pill shape, at least 44 px tall. Secondary actions use outline buttons.

Tone and brand rules

  • Language: Vietnamese for instructions, English for examples.
  • Voice: the teacher's voice is British (en-GB).
  • Tone: direct, concrete and warm. Short sentences, real numbers.
  • Never promise an IELTS score. The official wording is “Không cam kết điểm số”.
  • No made-up testimonials.
  • No children's faces, names or voices. A student under 18 only shares audio, with no face, posted by a parent.
  • Never a full account number: the last four digits at most.
  • No material from other test-prep centres.

Accessibility

  • Contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text (3:1 for large headings), checked in light and dark.
  • Clickable areas of at least 44 px.
  • The test that catches the most mistakes: switch to dark and look for dark text on a dark background.
